Less than a year ago, Amazon introduced the Alexa Skills Kit and as far back as January this year, the Alexa app store had 135 skill. Today, the Amazon Echo now has over 1,000 skills.
Alexa has made such an impact in the last 12 month, that a comparison between the Echo and the Apple shipment was one of the slides presented at the Recode conference.
With Alexa in your home, you can now buy data from Fitbit, pay credit card bill, control lights and ceiling fans, and even call up a pizza with the sound of your voice.

The navigation is getting more complex than it used to be. When the skill store had more than 135 skills, this was not a problem, a quick scroll will find you something of interest easily. But it now has too many skills just like the Apple app store and Google Play Store; making the Alexa app difficult to navigate.
