Edward Snowden explains how technology can make the world even better


Earlier in June, Hollywood A-lister Joseph Gordon-Levitt announced he has partnered with Edward Snowden for a new video project which explores the role of technology in shaping up our democracy. Snowden and Gordon-Levitt have finally completed their collaboration and the video is now available online.

Snowden believes technology could potentially change the world for the better and offer us much more freedom and liberty. In the video, he discussed on several topics and the negative and positive ways in which technology impacts the current state of democracy. You can watch the video below;

Edward Joseph Snowden is an American computer professional born June 21, 1983. He was a former CIA employee, and former contractor for the US Government who copied classified information from the United States National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013 without prior authorization. The information revealed numerous global surveillance programs, many run by the NSA and Five Eyes with the cooperation of telecommunication companies and European governments. His revelations were the start of a series of global surveillance disclosures.
