GOOGLE CHROME AD BLOCKER TO BE LAUNCHED COME FEBRUARY 2018

Google apps on Android phone

If you are as tired as I am seeing unwanted and annoying ads pop up on your computer and Android phone while surfing the internet, fret no more as Google Chrome has come to the rescue.

The company which announced the integration of the ad blocker to the App has again announced when to expect the ad blocker to be functional.
“As Google has previously announced, the blocker won’t be removing all ads — just ones that are considered bad using standards determined by the Coalition for Better Ads, which bans things like full page ads, ads with auto playing sound and video, and flashing ads”.

As Google intend to clean up the web next year, they will inform websites that contain these ads of a potential blocking through its Ad Experience Report tool.

“Google says that the goal of the program is to help publishers by weeding out bad ads across the internet, which could cut down on users with blanket ad blockers. But it’s worth reiterating that the program will also give Google even more power over internet advertising than the prodigious amount it already possesses”.

No matter, come February 15, Chrome users no longer have to contend with annoying ads that so rudely interrupts their activities while surfing the internet and we can only hope the ads blocker will not in anyway slows down connectivity to the net.
