Google has launched a new keyboard called “Gboard” for iOS, the keyboard offers a range of features such as an integrated search feature which makes it a lot easier to send links, images and everything else you can think of same as you use the google web browser, more like a keyboard that directly integrates search functions.
The Gboard works just like your average keyboard, but has a small Google Search icon ‘G’ above the keys. With the Gboard users can search for “anything else you’d search for on Google,” be it weather, news, sports scores, locations, GIFs, emojis and many more within the keyboard and send even without leaving the app, it also features a “Glide” typing function, which allows you to spell out a word by moving your finger from letter to letter, similar to that seen on the Swype’s keyboard.
The new Gboard will prevent the need to jump from one app to another especially if you’re intend to access Google search, its all built in within the app. Google’s new Gboard is available now for free for the iPhone, you can download the new keyboard from the App Store now.
Now, “Searching and sending stuff on your phone shouldn’t be that difficult. With Gboard, you can search and send all kinds of things—restaurant info, flight times, news articles—right from your keyboard. Anything you’d search on Google, you can search with Gboard.” Nice one if you ask me, especially since it makes work a lot easier.
