Search company, Google has launched the Pixel phone, featuring a 12 megapixel camera and unlimited photo storage. The smartphones launched were the Pixel and Pixel XL, these Android smartphones are the first to carry Google’s branding without being associated with another manufacturer and also the first smartphones compatible with the Google’s new virtual reality headset called Daydream View, and a controller. No doubt, a direct competitor to Apple’s iPhone.
Google even referenced Apple on stage, using an iPhone to show a “storage full” message, and saying that the Pixel would avoid that with unlimited full resolution backups of photos and videos using Google Photos’ cloud storage.
