Nokia It is no longer a rumour as we reported in our earlier post about the launch of some mobile phones by Nokia.
HMD Global, the parent company of Nokia has announced the release of the rumoured phones on its website today. Not suprising at all, the rumours were actually true. Nokia is launching the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, Nokia 3and the iconic Nokia 3310 phones.
Here is a quick run down of the specifications of these phones;
The Nokia 6 is a 5.5” 16MP camera, bright full-HD display with Dolby Atmos® phone. This smartphone comes with a sculpted Corning® Gorilla® Glass display, “made with materials that can take on life as you know it”. It comes with a Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 430 mobile processor and 4GB and 3GB variants.
This LTE Cat. 4, 150Mbps DL/50Mbps UL phone comes with the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The 5.5” full-HD display and wide color reproduction make it easy to enjoy your entertainment, even while out and about in bright daylight. And the wide viewing angle makes it easy to watch videos with friends. In terms of camera, Nokia 6’s primary camera has a 16 MP phase detection autofocus camera, and an 8 MP camera on the front. Plus the dual-tone flash on the main camera helps you take natural-looking photos, even in low light.

The Nokia 5 is a 5.2” HD sculpted Corning® Gorilla® Glass display phone, that comes with a fingerprint sensor for extra convenience. This 13MP autofocus phones comes with a precision-milled aluminium unibody which gives the phone added durability.

The Nokia 3 is a 5” polarized HD Corning® Gorilla® Glass display phone that has an 8MP autofocus back and front cameras, alongside an LTE 4G connectivity. The phone comes with a sculpted polycarbonate body and a solid-feeling aluminium frame.
This phone comes with Android 7.0 Nougat, MTK 6737, Quad-core 1.3Ghz, 2GB RAM and an integrated 2650 mAh battery and it goes for €139. Get the full specs here
As rumoured, Nokia 3310 has has been reborn but its no longer a rumour. The iconic and legendary 3310 now comes with “standby battery that can last for up to a month”. The 2.4” polarized and curved screen phone comes in four colors you can choose from. It has a 2MP camera with flash, FM radio, a removable 1200mAh battery, a 16MB internal memory and runs of the Nokia series 30+ operating system (perhaps a disappointment to those expecting Android). It goes for just €49. Not to forget, the legendary Snake game is built into the phone as well.

Its mobile phone business was eventually bought by Microsoft in an overall deal totaling $7.17 billion. Stephen Elop, Nokia’s former CEO, and several other executives joined the new Microsoft mobile subsidiary of Microsoft as part of the deal, which was completed on 25 April 2014. After the sale of its mobile phone business, Nokia began to focus more extensively on its telecommunications infrastructure business, its foray in virtual reality, and the acquisitions of French telecommunications company Alcatel-Lucent in 2016, whilst the Nokia name will return to the mobile phone market through HMD Global.
