“Tesla is increasing the production ramp as fast as possible,” Said Elon Musk, “but I’d recommend ordering a Model 3 soon if you want 2018 delivery.” Like seriously we saw this coming, even before the Tesla Mordel 3 was unveiled, almost 100,000 people had already pre-ordered it. One week after the model 3 unveiling, company officials said they had taken 325,000 reservations for the electric sedan, this was more compared to the number of Model S cars Tesla had sold by the end of 2015. These reservations represent potential sales of over US$14 billion. After that the company still received thousands of reservations from existing and potential owners who paid $1,000 per car to wait in line for Tesla’s latest electric car launching late 2017. Now Tesla is looking at its entire production for 2018 being reserved too.
