During the Microsoft E3 media briefing, Xbox boss Phil Spencer announced an upcoming hardware refresh of Xbox One codenamed “Project Scorpio”, according to Microsoft this will be “the most powerful console ever”. Project Scorpio will feature high-end and upgraded hardware; in addition to 6 teraflops of graphical performance, “Scorpio” will feature an eight-core CPU with 320 gigabits of memory bandwidth and is expected to be launched in the fall of 2017.
Microsoft is currently developing games for Project Scorpio, according to a tweet by Microsoft’s Xbox boss Phil Spencer, both the hardware and software (games) for Project Scorpio are already being developed. Although details about the games and features to be expected were not revealed, we are satisfied knowing that that tech company is on-to something!

It is important to note that Scorpio isn’t meant to replace the current Xbox One, additionally there wont be any Scorpio-exclusive games, games created for Scorpio should be playable on the current Xbox One. Scorpio will be an upgraded console for gamers who want enhanced gaming hardware and features or who might want 4K resolution.
