UberEATS is a ride-hailing app’s food delivery service that just arrived Singapore today, Singapore’s Central Area being the main business and commerce center is where UberEATS is limited to for now, it was also the first Asian market to get Uber’s ride service back in February. This city-state was chosen for its love for technology and trying out new things.
UberEATS has a standalone app which when downloaded can be used to order food from about 100 different restaurants in Singapore and have them delivered within 35minutes but, why would Singaporeans want to choose it over other food delivery services such as FoodPanda and Deliveroo? Well, Uber does have an edge considering the fact that many citizens already have Uber accounts which runs on the same map-routing algorithms that Uber uses to connect drivers and passengers, this is a brilliant platform for promotion right?
The company has promised to expand its service coverage area and menu as well, you sure would love that. Growth in a company such as this with different sectors where one compliments the other is so inevitable.
Uber an American multinational online taxi dispatch company headquartered in San Francisco, California, was founded by Travis Kalanick and Garrett Camp in 2009. Its Uber mobile app allows consumers with smartphones to submit a trip request which is then routed to Uber drivers who use their own cars. In 2014 Uber was ranked by Klout as the 48th-most powerful company in America. By late-2015, Uber was estimated to be worth $62.5 billion.
