This wouldn’t appear as a surprise to Call of Duty fans any more, several leaks from last week already revealed few details of Activision’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare game. The video game publisher has finally unveiled Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, with a trailer to show for it.
Developed by Infinity Ward, “Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare returns to the roots of the franchise where large-scale war and cinematic, immersive military storytelling take center stage. Prepare for a gripping war story in which players fight against the Settlement Defense Front to defend our very way of life.”
From the trailer it is noticed that the game appears to be set several years in the future, with air and space combat featuring robots and spaceships everywhere and what looks like offworld dogfights, yes you herd that right, dogfights in space in a Call of Duty game. Players will take on the role of Captain Reyes, a pilot for one of Earth’s last warships. Activision claims the the game will feature few loading screens for a seamless experience. Multiplayer and zombie modes were confirmed.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th for PS4, Xbox One and PC. A remastered version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One alongside Infinite Warfare. The remastered Modern Warfare is included in the Legacy and Deluxe packages for Infinite Warfare.
Call of Duty is a first-person shooter video game franchise. The series began on Microsoft Windows, and later expanded to consoles and handhelds. Several spin-off games have been released. The earlier games in the series are set primarily in World War II, including Call of Duty, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 3. Beginning with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which is set in modern times, the series has shifted focus away from World War II. The recent installment Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare introduced a new setting, a futurist setting including air and space combat.
