Microsoft announced on Thursday that computers running Windows 7 and 8.1 will automatically be updated to Windows 10 without the users intervention. This is a new development from the company to put Windows 10 it’s latest OS as a “recommended update” on Windows Update, meaning your computer will automatically be upgraded, without your knowledge. Earlier on Windows 10 has been on the “optional update” section of the Windows Update program.
However, for those that are still in love with their previous versions of Windows OS and wouldn’t want an upgrade enforced on them, Microsoft, after the upgrade to Windows 10 will give you 31 days to revert back to your older version of Windows. A complete copy of the previous installation will be kept in storage should you prefer to revert back. To do this go to; Settings >Update and Security > Recovery & Uninstall Windows 10.

Windows 10 will only be a free upgrade for the first year for existing users of genuine copies of Windows 7 and 8.1 after the year is up, next July, customers will have to pay full price if they want to upgrade their existing machine.
Microsoft will soon roll out the next scheduled update “Threshold 2,” this update will bring minor adjustments that did not make the initial release. Another update “Redstone,” coming next year, will bring huge changes to the Operating System.
Even though Windows 10 was embraced by many, few others prefer to stick to their previous operating system and wouldn’t hesitate to uninstall Windows 10, at least Microsoft has given you the option to downgrade, still whether you like it or not the expect you to try it out, perhaps you could have a change of heart.
