Android O preview 4 is out now, soon to be launched officially

Android O

No doubt the official release of Android O must be getting close as Google has just pushed out the latest version of its public beta. This is the fourth and final preview version of Android O and it is now rolling out now.

The unnamed upcoming operating system includes changes and new features to Android. Some of the new features includes, better notification management tools, security, battery improvements, dots on app icons to alert you of notifications, picture-in-picture video playback, a streamlined settings menu, significant Bluetooth audio improvements for Pixel and Nexus users and other performance improvement features.

Developers can now start preparing their apps for Android 8.0 by testing and ensuring compatibility before it’s released to Google hardware later this summer, after which it will gradually rollout to other devices. It will first launch on Google’s own Pixel and Nexus devices, then later on other Android devices.

Android “O” is the codename of an upcoming release of the Android mobile operating system. It was first released as an alpha qualitydeveloper preview on March 21, 2017. The second developer preview was released on May 17, 2017, and it is considered beta quality and the third developer preview was released on June 8, 2017 and finalizes the API. On July 24, 2017 a fourth developer preview was released which includes the final system behaviors and the latest bug fixes and optimizations.
