Few weeks ago we mentioned Sony’s interest into emulating PS2 games to PS4, Sony has given more details concerning this.
Here is a list of 8 digital PlayStation 2 games which will be available on PlayStation 4 as well as their prices.

Sony also stated that other games, such as King of Fighters 2000, Fantavision, PaRappa the Rapper 2 and Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits will be added in the future.
According to Sony all the PlayStation 2 games mentioned will be brought up to recent gaming standards, these games will be rendered in high resolution (1080p), while other features such as Remote Play, Live Broadcast, Share Play, Second Screen Support for game manuals, full Trophy sets for each games and PlayStation Vita Activity feeds will be available.
For those with a huge library of PlayStation 2 disc and can’t wait to try them out on their PlayStation 4, you are out of luck, games would have no disc support . From a video made earlier by Sony part of the video description made it clear that PS2 formatted disc would be incompatible with the PS4 system, meaning, inserting your PS2 disc into your PlayStation 4 console just wouldn’t work. Though the video has been removed, let’s hope it’s as a result of changes which needs to be made with respect to disc support also.
Most PlayStation fans were not impressed with the pricing and lack of Disc support, their anger was expressed by the comments made on the PlayStation blog. The Xbox One on the other hand plays Xbox 360 disc, but that’s just a generation difference, for Sony it’s two whole console generations. You can either download these games from PlayStation Store or buy the disc.
Where you turned down also by the lack of disc support?
