Nokia, getting ready for smartphone return

Yes you herd that right, the former Smartphone giants are preparing for a comeback. The Finnish company had a non-compete deal with Microsoft which ends late 2016 (The Deal hinders Nokia from selling phones until the fourth quarter of 2016), as soon as this is lifted handsets from Nokia Corp would be seen. Nokia’s CEO Rajeev Suri stated that his company is searching for suitable partners to help with the effort.

The company’s tech division is currently advertising dozens of openings, including Android software engineers with experience via Linkedin, this gives us the assurance that they sure are coming back! so far they have launched  Z Launcher (an Android app that enables you organize content on your smartphone) and also the N1, an Android tablet which recently was introduced in Europe but was initially sold in China.

Nokia during it’s reign has always delivered durable, efficient and outstanding devices with a very good track record, there’s no doubt their upcoming products would be state of the art.

Nokia Corporation is a Finnish multinational communications and information technology company, founded in 1865. Nokia’s dominance extended into the smartphone industry through its Symbian platform, but it was soon overshadowed by the growing dominance of Apple’s iPhone line and Android devices. Nokia eventually entered into a pact with Microsoft in 2011 to exclusively use its Windows Phone platform on future smartphones. In September 2013, Microsoft announced that it would acquire Nokia’s mobile phone business as part of an overall deal totaling €5.44 billion (US $7.17 billion). Nokia is headquartered in Espoo, Uusimaa, in the greater Helsinki metropolitan area.
