Just imagine yourself sipping your coffee, reading the Daily times and enjoying your favorite song in your car, on the move, without touching the wheels. Well, this interesting style of driving is what Google and Ford are trying to bring to our reach. Of course, self – driving cars have been in existence before now but it has not been in the regular market. According to a report in Yahoo Autos, they (Google and Ford) have agreed to announce the deal at the next month’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
Ford mentioned in a statement which said “We have been and will continue working with many companies and discussing a variety of subjects related to our Ford Smart Mobility plan. We keep these discussions private for obvious competitive reasons, and we do not comment on speculation.”
Both companies have been working on autonomous cars for years, though Google’s efforts have been much more public as the tech giant has been testing dozens of autonomous vehicle on public streets in California and Texas. Ford on the hand just received approval to test vehicles on the streets of California
According to Yahoo Autos’ sources, Google is actually free to work with other auto makers who are also interested in its self driving car technology….
